About Pro Swim Academy Kenya
We’re a premier swimming and aquatic training institution in Nairobi dedicated to building confident swimmers, promoting water safety, and developing competitive swimming excellence across Kenya.
A step-by-step journey that shaped PSAK’s coaching standards.
Pro Swim Academy Kenya was founded in 2020 by brothers and certified swimming professionals Samuel Oduor Otieno and Polykens Ochieng Otieno. Their vision is to raise swimming standards, expand water safety awareness, and make structured aquatic training accessible to children and adults.
From early Learn-to-Swim training to international experience, each step strengthened the systems we teach with today.
Started professional swimming development at YMCA Nairobi through Learn-to-Swim programs, preparing for lifeguarding training.
Completed Lifesaving and Lifeguarding certification—building a safety-first foundation.
Served as interns and later professional instructors, training learners from multiple schools, including institutions without their own swimming facilities.
Worked as swimming instructors in Dubai, refining technical skill, consistency, and professional coaching standards.
Returned to Kenya and commenced operations, focusing on safe and structured swimmer progression.

We emphasize safety, technique, confidence-building, and long-term skill development—so swimmers progress with clarity and consistency.
Clear progression—from first entry into the water to confident strokes.
Structured performance training and disciplined technique development.
What We Do
Structured aquatic programs tailored to age, confidence level, and skill progression.
Growth & Partnerships
We expand responsibly—strengthening infrastructure and supporting talent.

In April 2023, Pro Swim Academy Kenya partnered with the Kenya Swimming Coaches & Teachers Association (KSTCA) to support advanced swimmers.
Through this partnership, we co-funded renovations at Westlands Primary School’s semi-Olympic pool, creating a stronger training environment within a structured school setting.
We sponsor and support needy students who show great swimming talent—helping them nurture discipline, technique, and competitive readiness.
In October 2024, we opened our second branch in Runda, which remains operational to date.
Leadership
Founded by certified swimming professionals committed to raising standards and improving water safety across Kenya.
